MARKLE POOL - CLOSED SUMMER 2026 - SCROLL DOWN FOR DETAILS

After much discussion and careful consideration, we are sad to share that due to major INDOT bridge construction that will block one of the primary routes used to access the pool, the Markle Pool will be closed for the summer of 2026.

We know this is disappointing news—especially for families who look forward to pool season each summer. However, there is a silver lining. The Park Board plans to use this temporary closure to make much-needed upgrades to the pool house and concession area. This downtime allows us to complete improvements that are difficult to tackle during an active season and will help ensure an even better experience for swimmers in the years ahead.

Please note that the remainder of the park will remain open, though visitors coming from the north will need to follow a detour.

Because the park is privately funded and the pool will not operate this season, we will lose a significant source of annual income. As a result, donations are more important than ever to help us maintain the park and continue moving forward during this time. Any level of support truly makes a difference. This situation was completely out of our control, and while we didn’t want it to happen, we are grateful for the community’s understanding and patience. Our goal is to come back stronger and better once construction is complete, and we’ll continue to share updates as plans move forward.
